As the primary event beneficiary of the Carson City Off-Road, local trail building group Muscle Powered is about far more than constructing outstanding trail like Ash to King’s. The non-profit group was originally formed in 1999 to promote bicycle and pedestrian safety through advocacy, making for a more walkable and bikeable city.

Providing a world-class Club Experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who enters our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.
TAMBA is dedicated to the stewardship of sustainable, multiple-use trails and to preserving access for mountain bikers through advocacy, education, and promotion of responsible trail use.
National Interscholastic Cycling League (NICA) is an organization focused on developing high school cycling coast-to-coast by 2020. The NICL will provide students who wish to mountain bike with coaching and camaraderie to help achieve both competitive and non-competitive goals on the bike and in life, develop lifelong friendships, foster responsible attitudes towards trails and wilderness and promote the value of cycling to the community as a mode of transportation and a lifelong pastime.
The mission of the Tahoe Rim Trail Association is to maintain and enhance the Tahoe Rim Trail system, practice and inspire stewardship, and preserve access to the natural beauty of the Lake Tahoe region.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Unit is ready 24 hours a day, 365 days a year! Lost and Missing Persons, Evidence Searches, Special Events, are but a few of our many missions. We are all volunteers and rely on community support and donations. To assist the Carson City Sheriff, by providing specialized search and rescue skills and techniques, combined with a rapid and professional response.
